Here are a few kitchen fitting FAQ’s
Do you renovate kitchens completely?
YES! Whether you’re planning a modest refit of your kitchen, or want to transform your whole kitchen space into something a bit special by having your kitchens electrics rewired, moving your sockets to more convenient places to suit your new kitchen layout, some nice new shiny spotlights installed, you may even have a boiler in your kitchen that needs moving, replacing, or boxed in so that it doesn’t look out of place in your brand new kitchen.
You’ll almost certainly want your walls tiled, above the worktops, unless you choose to opt for splashbacks. New flooring? Tile or laminate? A new radiator or a radiator added if there isn’t one? Your walls straightened with plaster-boarding, plastering, and redecoration? Get a FIXED price to have it all done.
How long does it take?
We take pride in ensuring our kitchens look great, and it’s all down to the thorough effort we put into the preparation of your kitchen space prior to your kitchen fit. Attaining a perfect finish is often very difficult unless adjustments are made to walls, electrics, un-even floors and more.
It can take between two and three weeks to fully refurbish a kitchen. This includes things like electrical alterations, plumbing, plastering, and tiling, to name a few. We’ll keep you comfortable throughout your project by keeping disruption to a minimum. We won’t need to have your power or water supply off very often or for very long, so you needn’t worry about disruption to your necessary services.
Be cautious of claims that you can refurbish a kitchen in the space of a week. There’s an awful lot of work to do in an old kitchen to bring it up to a modern standard, this includes allowing drying times for plaster before tiling, to name one of many. If you care about attaining a finish that isn’t ‘rough around the edges’, avoid quick ‘in and out in a matter of days’ type offers.
Are quotes free?
Do i have to pay upfront?
Unlike many kitchen companies who supply and fit kitchens across Birmingham, we don’t ask for all of the cost of your project up-front, we don’t even ask for half. Typically, we will request a 10-15% deposit in order to book your project solidly into our work diary. The rest will become payable in stages as you see your project progressing. This will all be detailed on paper so that we can both keep track of things. A very fair staged payment scale for both us and you. If you have any concerns or queries, please raise them with us ASAP so we can refer you to previous customers.

“I needed a company to completely modernise my kitchen and dining room space after having been let down by many people when trying to organise it all myself. The father in law did the decorating for us after they’d gone and he was most impressed with the plasterers skimming. Nice guys have since recommended .”
“I first used Chris over 20 years ago to re-wire my home, and after moving house and stumbling across C&N online low and behold it was Chris who turned up again. I was very happy with his work back then and incredibly happy with my brand new kitchen and bathroom. Have recommended to friends who’ve also had work done and been very happy.”
“It started with a leaky toilet and I eventually decided on a full renovation. It’s only a small one bed flat, space was incredibly tight, they coped well and all throughout the job I was impressed with the craftsmanship. According to friends I’m now living in ‘one of those posh hotels.”
